The cycle hire scheme has passed Bermondsey by.
The nearest hire scheme rack is about a mile away at Tower Bridge.

GN Bike Hire Scheme

Local Liberal Democrats are looking at ways of bringing the hire scheme to The Blue,
so that we can all use the bikes.

This scruffy fence in Dunton Road was becoming a real eyesore.

With some money from Bermondsey Community Council,
We got the fence taken down, and replaced with a new brick wall.
It looks much smarter now.

The paving has been tidied up too.

Hedge at 93 – 115 Stevenson Crescent

Some time ago I asked Hyde Housing to trim this hedge,
because it was a place where criminals could hang around.

Hedge 1

I found this photo of my bike next to it after it was trimmed.

Hedge 2
Now local residents are telling me they feel safer,
It’s just a small change, but it’s nice to make changes for the better.

‘South London Press’ reports on The Bail Hostel U-turn

March 30th, 2013 by Graham Neale
Comment?

I’m shocked at just what a complete mess Southwark Council made of the Bail Hostel debacle.
Back in 2010 council staff were telling the administration to move Ellison House.
In January 2013 Southwark announced they were planning on building a 30 room bedsit bail hostel
at the junction of Rotherhithe New Road, and the Old Kent Road.
Bermondsey deserves better than that.
The Old Kent Road needs jobs, homes,

A Positive Vision for a Sustainable Future.

The people of Bermondsey need councillors who they can trust,
Who listen to local people and support them,
We’ve all been let done so badly by the Labour administration.

Bermondsey People deserve to be treated better.

Here’s what The South London Press wrote about Labour’s attempts to pretend they care about us.
The only thing that is transparent is that no-one believes them anymore.
