Southwark Liberal Democrats Learn more

Cyclists can be a real nuisance.
I know because I am one.
More and more people are starting to cycle, but Southwark is spending no money on cycle lanes.
The idea is that if motorists see bicycles, they calm down, and drive more carefully.
Strange idea, using Southwark’s cyclists as a type of ‘human shield’ to calm traffic!
Not surprisingly some local cyclists are a bit upset at this approach.
They protested outside the council meeting last night to publicise their feelings.
There was a debate about the environment in Southwark.
I took the opportunity to speak about cycling.
I’ve posted my speech here
