Southwark are going chain saw crazy! First Reverdy Road, then Lynton Road Now Rotherhithe New Road. There won’t be a tree left in Bermondsey at this rate! These two are rotten These ones are too close to the wall! Soon there will be no trees left!

Nursery Update

Seems like The Council has seen sense and decided to keep the nurseries open. The report can be found here. It’s not over, but it’s a massive victory. Thanks and well done to all the parents and supporters Southwark Council’s report paragraph 16.

Rubbish at Acanthus Drive SE1 5HH

Once again rubbish is building up around Acanthus Drive. I have written to Notting Hill Housing, and Southwark’s Refuse Department. The land owner is responsible for keeping the land tidy. I have asked that Southwark pass on any charges if the land owner fails to maintain the land.

Tesco cages on the pavement (again)

It seems like only yesterday when I reported Tesco to Southwark’s enforcement team. I remember the manager Ade was rude to me, previous and here and here I don’t know why they are so arrogant. Someone came into my surgery complaining about Tesco lorries parking and blocking traffic at The Blue.

Breaking Apartheid

I was watching a TV documentary about how The Anti-Apartheid Movement managed to break the South African government. When I saw this picture of a rally in the 1980’s Hold on, I recognise that man! On closer inspection I realised it was the Rt Hon Simon Hughes MP. Well done mate !
