Support for Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak‘s National Democratic Party (NDP) from Britain’s Labour Party appears to be ebbing.
The NDP was re-elected in an uncontested election in December last year. The EU and US critised the poll.

This week Mubarek’s party was finally kicked out of the Socialist International (honorary president Neil Kinnock).
For decades, Mubarek’s NDP party has enjoyed solidarity with the British Labour Party through their membership of the Socialist International.
In 2007 Amnesty International described Egypt as  an international centre for interrogation and torture.
The UK supplied Murabek’s regime with millions of pounds of arms under our Labour government.
