This morning Liberal Democrat group leader Cllr Anood Al Samerai and I met
with Southwark’s top cop – Charles Griggs.
We discussed policing  in general, as well as specific issues in Southwark,
like household security, young people, knives gangs & guns, and the level of antisocial behaviour on our estates
I asked him about policing different communities, and the sensitivities needed to gain support of different groups
Charles used to ride police motorbikes, and we spoke about safety on our roads.

It was a very productive meeting,
and gave us an opportunity to find out how things work in the police in Southwark,
and share our concerns for our communities.
