I went to Rotherhithe Community council last night.
I went to the first one in 2003, and last night was special too.
It was the last one. The next one will be combined with Bermondsey Community Council.
The Bermondsey& Rotherhithe Community Council will consists of more than 60,000 people.
bigger than many Westminster constituencies.
One problem that has not been addressed is the problem of planning applications.
There are loads of applications in the north of the borough, that will now either
be dealt with by officers, or
be dealt with at a ‘sub’ level planning committee.
I fear the applications will not be given fair consideration.
