We’ve set up a new website to capture fly-tipping in Southwark
– and it needs your photos of dumped rubbish!
The Clean Up Southwark! blog, publishes pictures sent in by residents of unwanted junk cluttering up our streets.
It aims to highlight the problem of fly-tipping in the borough, which has almost tripled since 2010.
New figures show a total of 24,976 fly-tipping incidents were recorded by the council in 2012
– a 72% rise and over 10,000 more cases than in the previous year.
The Clean Up Southwark! blog is now online a
http://cleanupsouthwark.wordpress.com.
Send any pictures of fly-tipping in your area to
flytipping@southwark-libdems.org.uk to get them added to the blog.
We regularly get complaints about old beds, crates and other discarded items being left out on pavements,
so we are asking residents to take pictures of fly-tipping and send them in.
Perhaps if we put the photos online for all to see
– we can press the council to Clean Up Southwark.
