I went to visit the Veolia centre on The Old Kent Road today.
I was amazed at the building, with men standing at a conveyor belt for hours on end, pulling plastic bags out of an endless stream of paper.
It is a massive factory, churning out paper, metal, glass and stuff to burn at SELCHP.
The message I cam away with with were:
There is a lot of money in waste
Its difficult to separate stuff once its been thrown away
but mostly:
We need to consume less.
